Are you at the point where you've decided to invest some of your hard-earned money into a brand new network marketing business? Before you embark on this journey, ensure that you have thoroughly gone over the various alternatives that are available. This is important, not just to ensure that you'll be able to create a great income, but also to make sure that your future downline team can benefit too. 

You're going to spend a huge amount of time building your business and team. Undoubtedly, you don't want to choose the wrong opportunity. By doing your due diligence beforehand it will absolutely save you a great deal of grief later. You will find a number of things described below that you simply need to look at before joining any opportunity. 

• The first question to ask is, how long has the business been in existence. 
• Is the firm privately owned or is it publicly traded? 
• Who are the management team, and have they had previous endeavors within the network marketing industry? 
• Will the company expand internationally and if so, when you sell their merchandise abroad are you going to run into problems with customs and/or shipping? 

These are all crucial questions because MOST new, ground-floor start up corporations FAIL inside 5 years.

Ask this one query, "Would the average person buy this product or service from this company at this price, under normal market conditions, if a MLM business opportunity wasn't attached to it?" 

If you cannot truthfully answer, "Yes" then you shouldn't join this company. 

For your own personal security and peace of mind you need to look hard at these issues. Also recognize that the majority of those who get into network marketing will in fact, recruit less than 3 individuals throughout their entire time in the business. What that equates to is that individuals either only wish to acquire the product for wholesale or they are basically too lazy to work on their business. If new recruits fail immediately, they are going to soon revert to purchasing a product that costs much less and will cancel or quit. The dropout rate in network marketing is horrendous - it can be as high as 80%. If the attrition rate within the organization that you are researching is greater than 20%, it's going to be tough to create a profitable business. 

So, the best MLM business opportunity is one that has got a good product that people already use at a price similar to what they are already purchasing. 


If they're used to paying $35 for supplement they already use and are now asked to pay $75, don't expect that to last long-term. If they don't build the business they will soon quit and return to paying $35 per bottle. 

Next thing you absolutely need to consider before beginning any new business is, how you mean to advertise, market and promote your new business.

Because the bottom line is you will not make any money until you sell lots of products and sign up a large amount of new team members.
